Background and Aim: Security and peace of political borders is one of the factors that lead to the development of any country. In recent years, some actions of neighboring countries or trans-regional countries in the border areas of Iran have provided grounds for insecurity. Understanding this concept, we take a closer look at the characteristics of Iran's eastern borders and Iran-Pakistan relations, and address the problems of the two countries' common border areas. The aim of this study was to investigate the causes of divergence between the two countries of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and its impact on border security between the two countries.
Method: In this research, the method of data collection is library (books, articles, reputable Internet sites, etc.) and the research method is descriptive-analytical.
Findings and Conclusion: The results show that components such as historical, religious, cultural, political and economic as factors of convergence at different times have been effective in strengthening the security of the borders of the two countries and preventing ethnic secession.
