Security is one of the most basic human needs and is as old as human life, and to meet this basic need, governments have always made national security the first priority of their domestic and foreign policies and strive to acquire, maintain and expand it. National security has a very wide scope and is affected by many internal and transnational threats. Security is a pillar of the continuity of social life and one of its most important dimensions is social security. Social security in any country or geographical area is affected by various factors, among which, drug trafficking is one of the factors that has a great impact on the quality of social security in society. Security is the axis of social life and the condition for its continuation. Depending on the demographic and geographical conditions and characteristics, and in general, according to the sources of power at its disposal, it faces different security threats and opportunities. Neighborhood with the world's largest drug producers, being in the path of cheap transit of these drugs, as well as positions of special belief and value, has caused the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran to be affected by the issue of drug trafficking. The question that arises is what is the impact of drug trafficking on the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran? Since Iran is in the neighborhood of the world's largest drug producers, and is on the cheap transit route of these drugs, as well as positions of special belief and value, has caused the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran to be affected by drug trafficking, so this study aims to determine The impact of drug trafficking on the political, economic, social and cultural dimensions of the national security of the Islamic Republic
