In today’s challenging world, and so in the Middle East, TV series as the cultural products have found a extensive and effective cultural diplomacy function. Among the countries in the region, Turkey and Saudi Arabia, with TV series in various genres, have been able to stabilize their position and influence among the satellite television networks. Hence, the basic aim of this paper is to analyze two historical TV series, the Sultan’s Harem and Omar Al-Farooq, made by Turkey and Saudi Arabia and aired by the Middle East TV and satellite channels such as Dubai TV and MBC to show the media and cultural influences of the two countries in the region. In this paper, the postcolonial theory and orientalistic and critical discourse analysis methods have been used. This article aims to determine the relations between the reality and the construction of east (by west) in the cultural products of the Eastern countries and also the settings of discourse struggles between “Al-alam Al-Arabiya” and “new Ottoman Empire” with historical retrieval. The article is an aswer to “how history can be redefined for the identification of the region`s people?”
