The invasion of modernism to the Islamic territories has caused different reactions in the Islamic world. These reactions are of three-folds: disregarding the integrity of the west and returning to the fundamental Islam with respect to reviving Islamic identity, accepting western culture indisputably and neglecting Islamic virtues while adapting to modernism, and eventually returning to Islamic virtues once accepting some aspects of modernism with focus on the two concepts of "finding identity" and "being adoptable". This paper stands on this point that the third reaction in the form of political Islam has emerged in Islamic world specially Turkey; therefore, it is necessary while studding about the political Islam in this country, as well as the whole Islamic world, the concepts of " finding identity" and " being adoptable" be considered and Islamists reaction be analyzed with respect to these two concepts. This research, hence, has been carried out to answer to this question that how and in reaction to which issues political Islam has shaped and developed in Turkey.

The Islamic Revolution of 1979 in Iran, led by Imam Khomeini as a religious authority, helped establish a political order whose domestic and foreign policy was based on Islamic ideology. The aim of this study was to investigate Imam Khomeini’s discourse of foreign policy in relation to national interests and security, and Islamic ideology on three levels, namely, ideology, strategy, and diplomacy.
The main point of departure in Imam Khomeini’s ideological approach was his political and social reading of Islam, i.e. “Political Islam”. Other elements and principles of foreign policy were shaped based on this especial approach. On the level of strategy, Islamic rationality, foreign and domestic threats, and the unification of the Islamic republic were the main focus of attention of national security in relation to foreign policy. In this view, the protection of the Islamic Republic was of primary importance. The next issue was the security of the Islamic world and the Muslims. On the level of diplomacy, and following the principle of Islamic pragmatism, the main focus of foreign policy was considered the national interests of the Islamic Republic. The other components of this approach included public and nationalist diplomacy, non-alignment, Islamicist world, and support of liberation movements. Imam Khomeini’s approach to foreign policy, based on the priority of national security and interests of Iran, showed the significance of Islamic rationality in his foreign policy and the integration of ideals and facts. Unlike the common view, following the Islamic Revolution, Iran became a rational actor, that is, a policy based on Islamic rationality, in the arena of international politics.

With the outbreak of the September 11 terrorist attacks in 2001, radical changes occurred in the area of international relations and terrorism has become a global concern. The event that was organized by al-Qaeda has linked terrorism with religion, especially Islam, and radical Islamic fundamentalist promote religious terrorists with their views and actions. In this regard, the most important intellectual figure was Sayed Qutb who had a direct impact on the performance and perspectives of al-Qaeda. This led to introducing Islam Doctrine by the West and its head America with a misunderstanding to promote religious terrorism. Shi'a was also charged with promoting the teachings of religious terrorism as one of the branches of Islam. In this article, in addition to reviewing the doctrines and views of radical Islamists and al-Qaeda organization that promotes the formation of negative attitude of the West towards Islam, the Shiite political jurisprudence in relation to religious terrorism was examined. Therefore, the main concern of this paper is “what is the Shiite political jurisprudence perspective towards religious terrorism?” And “does the Doctrine of Shia political jurisprudence confirm the principles of religious terrorism?” The research hypothesis is that in the Doctrine of Shiite political jurisprudence, there are principles that reject religious terrorism and declare it illegal. Also, in contemporary era, we are witnessing the expansion of Muslims’ martyrdom operations to which the study of Shiite political jurisprudence is critical because Western perspectives see this as suicide and terrorism.

Quran is a profound and profane Book that everyone benefits from it according to his scientific capacity. Some verses invite Muslims to jihad and other verses persuaded for peace. For some, here is the community of stripping and requiring and two forms of peace and war are shaped. The main purpose of the article is to study the origins and evidences of two perspectives of peace and war. The main element of this difference is laid in the Saif verse. The main assumption of the followers of jihad is the infallibility of the verse of Saif in all verses and amnesty. The main hypothesis of this article is that the extremist ideas of the verses of jihad make the face of Islam rough and now when discourse of the world resolves human conflicts through interaction, extreme ideas do not have a reasonable position. In the end, it is concluded that the verse of Saif is not abrogated amnesty verses and Islam is not violent and instead is mouthpiece to honest, rooted, and inclusive peace. Indeed, verses of jihad have more poems of defensive jihad not initiating one. This article has a descriptive, analytical, and critical view of ijtihad with library resources and finally provides a path map towards the research future.

The formation of Islamic movements and extremist groups in the contemporary Islamic world has raised many questions about the fields, goals, and approaches related to Islamist groups and movements for sociology scholars. Given the differences between extremist groups and Islamic movements, the difference in their formation is of particular importance. Accordingly, the present study seeks to answer this question: “What are the features of the distinction between the bases of the formation of radical movements and the revolutionary movement in the Islamic world?” The authors believe that intellectual principles and sociological foundations of both are different and by using the environmental conditions, they seek to establish a new political identity based on Islamic principles. Extreme groups are the product of historical, geographic, and political conditions in the Muslim world, while revolutionary movements and reform movements have been shaped while interfacing external problems, especially colonialism and domestic problems. Findings of the research indicate that the two radical and revolutionary groups, in addition to responding to the common problems of Islamic societies, are in contrast with two different types of political thinking and behavior. Extreme movement has led to the spread of conflicts in the Middle East and the social gap and Islamophobia, while the revolutionary movement is a good platform for strengthening political Islam and convergence in the Islamic world.
