The emergence of advanced media by using the knowledge of how to influence has increased the role of the media in controlling public opinion. Nowadays, the media plays an inevitable role in the advancement of government programs and by creating a media space to shape public opinion and guide decisions in a favorable context, they have always been the attention of governments. Governments today, instead of sending their soldiers and armies to distant borders to conquer countries and dominate nations and bear the exorbitant costs of war and military campaigns, use soft war and appeal to visual and audio media on the brains and hearts of the nation. others dominate and instill their values in them. The United States of America, as a superpower, has been able to make the most of the visual and audio media in line with its interests, and through news agencies, Hollywood, satellite programs, and internet and radio networks, it has tried to induce its strategic goals, such as imposing American values have spread Islamophobia, promoted capitalism and weakened their enemies and rivals in the world.
In this article, we will first analyze the role of the media in increasing the soft power of the United States, and then we will see how the Americans use this tool against the Islamic Republic of Iran (as a regional competitor).
