In order to succeed in the 2018 Iraqi elections, the Sadr political movement, led by Moqtada Sadr, was able to prove its power in the Iraqi political arena by using the ideology of nationalism. This movement was seeking to expand its political position and penetrate deeper into the Iraqi society by adding a strong element of national identity in the path of reconciliation with allies, which was previously unimaginable in terms of the worldview of the Sadr trend. The adoption of the ideology of nationalism was able to remove the political weakness of the Sadr movement in the path of achieving political goals to a large extent, and facilitated the path to achieve them, and expanded the circle of supporters of this movement by using motivational discourse. The main question that we are trying to answer in this article is, what was the impact of the Arab-Iraqi nationalist thought in the process of forming the Sauron coalition? As an original religious leader, the leadership of the Sadr movement, by adopting the nationalist ideology, was able to move the indifferent and marginalized elements like a strong motivator and give a double boost to the Sadr Rajan movement and increase the power of its social mobilization. This research was a descriptive-analytical study and the data was collected using library and internet documents.
