This Article addressed and criticized the United States domestic and foreign policy approach toward the revival of the Islamic identity and the growing of self-awareness and activism in Muslim societies as the most important possible alternative to the current world order. So, the authors, at first, provide an appropriate theoretical framework using the principles of social constructivism school and with an emphasis on factors and resources such as culture, norms and values , then provide a pathologic and critic analysis of America`s domestic policies by describing the status of Islam and Muslims in the United States. In the next section of the paper, the America’s foreign policy trends and goals toward the revival of Islamic identity in the Middle East is studied. The authors believe that the most important aspect of the policy-making strategy of the United States toward the Islamic world is the campaign against political Islam teachings and prevention of Muslims value-normative (cultural) awareness, since political Islam directly targets a common understanding of the mute and neutral role of religion in politics and ethics and tries to build a new value system in opposition with the western materialistic and hegemonic worldview and is pursuing the convergence of the Islamic world in order to confront with the cultural and value dominance of the West and the revival of religious-monotheist values. So, authors concluded that the basic approach of the ruling elite class in the United States to ensure the current system is value-normative totalitarianism and trying to ignore and suppress Islamic norms and identities conflicting the iconographic concepts such as “citizen” and “nation-state”.
